Yes. I ripped How To Train Your Dragon, with 6 channel DTS sound- 3 Front, 2 Rear and LFE with 1920×816 Scope resolution onto my computer and then streamed it across my network to the PS3. It was nearly flawless. There was possibly a few glitched frames, but overall, no issues- I was very happy to watch a full length feature film in the Theater that wasn’t on a disc.
Another Season
Aside
I primed the well pump today and got the water going at the lake. This marks another summer beginning. The lake is a little beat up this year- deck repairs, dock repairs, shed repairs (and teardowns) and painting the house are all on the docket this year. I was happy just to get water going. Ash & Adam came up and got the yard mowed for this weekends kick-off bonfire and bug-bombed the house. Maybe I’ll have time tomorrow to go shore up the deck so it’s done for the weekend.
The Battle Ends
Well, besides some junk plugging up my pump earlier this spring I’ve been water free in my basement with no end to the dry in sight. I’ve got the whole setup pretty optimized and my sump pump is running less and less as we get more than 2 days without rain in the forecast. My de-watering project has turned out excellently and I am now ready to put some flooring down without hesitation. To do yet includes a batter backed up pump and a cover over the pit to avoid previously mentioned issues. I’d also like to change where the pump discharges during the winter as it causes air sucking noise upstairs. Outside, the discharge is fine but I would like to upgrade it to 1.5 inch PVC pipe and run it into some sort of underground distribution vs just onto the yard.
Portal2: I haz it
Aside
Played 2 hours of portal 2 tonight with a friend running through co-op. So far, it’s a very fun game and the puzzles have been decently challenging. We haven’t exactly struggled for more than 5-10 minutes in any particular stage, but we’re through the first two ‘phases’.
So far: two thumbs up.
